On the plains you can encounter lions living with the thousands of antelopes, zebras and buffalo that live here all year long. You can even get the chance to spot wild dogs. These extremely rare carnivores have been eased to near the eradication stage in most areas of Africa and this is one of the last areas they can experience. The extremely curious dogs are only available to the fewest visitors in Africa and can therefore be considered as an added bonus if you see them in the area.

Helicopter flights are offered all year round. It is entirely up to you what time of day you want to fly across the Okavango Delta, but I recommend you do it early morning and late afternoon as you thus get the best light for photography. Available and preferred flight times can be requested upon booking. It is recommended to be in good time, as there is a rift about the seats here :-)
